Coming back from Engelberg we had only 30 minutes between trains. Fortunately, the most important Lucerne’s monument is right there, 2 minutes walk from a train station. The Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) is 204m long, wooden, originally built in 1333, which gives the oldest covered bridge in Europe. Part of it has been replaced after a fire in 1993 (caused by a cigarette!). The tower with its fortification purposes was also built in 13th century.

Thanks Chris for nice words. I’m not fully satisfied with them, but this is result of connecting night, digital camera and the bridge instead of tripod ;) Not bad then.
